Linked Learning and Oakland Unified School District
In 2010, Oakland was one of ten districts in the state of California to be awarded a grant from ConnectEd, The California Center for College and Career, in order to promote Linked Learning.
Linked Learning is an educational approach designed to create partnerships between school districts and industry leaders within their communities. The purpose of these partnerships is to connect strong academics with real–world experience for students in a wide range of fields, such as engineering, arts and media, and biomedical and health sciences—helping students gain an advantage in high school, college, and career.
Studies point to the success of the Linked Learning method. Check out personal stories, videos, news reports and more!
We are thrilled to have been awarded this grant as it offers OUSD students an unparalleled opportunity to gain experiences that will prepare them for a successful life post graduation.
